How to Add the Missing Quick Edit Wrench to Blogger blog Gadgets

Advertisements

By default all Blogger templates have the quick edit wrench at the bottom of each gadget. This helps in to quickly edit that gadget without going to Page Elements page. But some of the custom third party templates lacks this wrench and you have to go to Page Elements page every time when you want to edit the gadget. I have already explained about how to add the missing quick edit pencil. Here I will explain the procedure to add this missing quick edit wrench.

Step 1

Go to Blogger Dashboard > Design > Edit HTML. Click on Expand widgets templates.Press CTRL F and look for

</b:includable>

If the quick edit wrench is missing the gadget code will as follows

<b:section class='main' id='main' showaddelement='no'>
<b:widget id='HTML2' locked='false' title='' type='HTML'>
<b:includable id='main'>
<!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
<b:if cond='data:title != &quot;&quot;'>
<h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
</b:if>
<div class='widget-content'>
<data:content/>
</div>

</b:includable>
</b:widget>

Step 2

You have to add

<b:include name='quickedit'/>

just above

</b:includable>

Annd your missing quick edit wrench is back. But you have to do it for all other gadgets.
