Show/Add Quick Edit Pencil on your blog.

Advertisements

I already have a post related to Add quick edit pencil icon to the posts.

But for some templates it needs additional editing of HTML code to Show/Add Quick Edit Pencil on your blog. First go to my previous post Add quick edit pencil icon to the posts and modify HTML as given there. If still Quick edit pencil is not visible then use following additional procedure.

1. Sign in to Blogger >> Layout >> Edit HTML >> Download Full Template >> Expand widget templates.

2. Look for

data:post.editUrl'

Concentrate on following code

<b:if cond='data:post.editUrl'>
<span expr:class='&quot;item-control &quot; + data:post.adminClass'>
<a expr:href='data:post.editUrl' expr:title='data:top.editPostMsg'>
<span class='quick-edit-icon'>&#160;</span>
</a>
</span>
</b:if>

Just replace the red code with

<img alt='' class='icon-action' src='http://www.blogger.com/img/icon18_edit_allbkg.gif'/>

Save Template

You can also get the missing quick edit wrench for the gadget
